I made this EP to practice before making my "Dungeon Synthesis" series.

Each track on this EP borrows heavily from an existing song. These recordings are meant to be an experiment in extremely primitive synthesis and an homage to the composers who inspired each of them:

I consider these four pieces to be "warm up" tracks. They were created to practice in-the-box synthesis techniques using Reaper's simple built-in synthesizer and modifying the sound using basic techniques (envelopes, filters, etc). All of it is sent through a simple reverb. Reaper is a phenomenal piece of software and I strongly recommend checking it out if you create any type of content that contains audio. These recordings represent careful organization of some of its most basic functions, and I'm honestly surprised even something this simple was possible. If you're a Reaper user, I used the following plugins to create this music:

A warm and unexpectedly layered album. The blend of 70's prog, occult, and pop rock is subtle and comforting in a way that contrasts cleverly with the lyrical content.
